SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Air Conditioning Contractors of America is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Supplier Sales Specialist to join our Marketing, Communications, and Partnerships team. This role supports ACCA's associate memberships and supplier sales program including advertising, sponsorships, and exhibits. The Supplier Sales Specialist role is directly responsible for lead generation related to advertising, sponsorship, and exhibit sales while supporting event sales fulfillment, and is critical to helping nurture ACCA's non-dues revenue programs. The specialist plays an important role in maximizing ACCA's impact in the HVACR industry and helping to improve the lives of contractors nationwide.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sell advertising opportunities;
- Sell exhibit booth and sponsorship opportunities at ACCA conferences and events;
- Support event sales fulfillment for ACCA conferences and events;
- Support acquisition and retention of associate members;
- Track outstanding payments not yet received from associate members, exhibitors, advertisers, and sponsors;
- Support other sales and fulfillment work for the supplier sales program as needed;
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, updates, and partner news.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires travel to industry events and conferences up to 25 % of the time
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education/certification requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience level:
- 3+ years of experience in partnership development, marketing, or sales, preferably within a non-profit or association environment.
- Demonstrated experience in event and conference sales, preferably within a non-profit or association environment.
- Technical skills:
- Experience using CRM software.
- Experience using project management systems to track work (Asana, Monday, Basecamp, etc).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc).
- HubSpot experience a plus.
- Other skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, remote environment.
