The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and strategic Revenue & Pricing Analyst to join their remote, offshore team. This role is a critical blend of hands-on execution and strategic insight, designed for someone who thrives on digging into data, optimizing performance, and directly impacting revenue. You will be instrumental in managing the dynamic pricing for a portfolio of properties, ensuring algorithms are finely tuned to market conditions and client goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pricing Strategy & Optimization:

    • Manage and optimize pricing for a dashboard of up to 100 properties, utilizing specialized pricing software (e.g., PriceLabs).
    • Conduct intensive data integration and analysis across multiple software platforms to inform pricing decisions.
    • Customize property settings within the pricing software based on area, audience, and specific property details.
    • Continuously analyze pricing performance over time to ensure the algorithm makes strategic sense and adjust settings as needed.
    • Work directly within platforms like Airbnb to implement strategic discounts and promotions.
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis:

    • Create and maintain custom market competition sets, analyzing data from these dashboards to identify trends.
    • Monitor broader US vacation market trends and incorporate these insights into strategic discount recommendations.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain performance tracking systems (e.g., Google Sheets) to monitor properties' weekly or monthly progress.
    • Generate initial performance reports for new clients and standardize quarterly performance reports, ensuring clarity and consistency.
    • Explore and utilize AI tools to enhance data analysis, reporting, and process efficiency where applicable.
  • Operational Support:

    • Support the founder with various data-related administrative tasks, including tracking information on Excel sheets.

  • Software Proficiency: Comfortable working with various software platforms and proficient with spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Ownership: You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the performance of the properties you manage.
  • Familiarity (Nice to Have):
    • Experience with PriceLabs or similar dynamic pricing software is a significant plus.
    • Familiarity with the real estate industry, particularly short-term rentals like Airbnb or VRBO, is beneficial.
       

Ideal Candidate:

  • Hands-on experience in short-term rental pricing tools (PriceLabs, Beyond Pricing, Wheelhouse, etc.) or similar revenue management platforms is a BIG BONUS, and not a deal-breaker.
  • Proven ability to explain pricing strategy in simple, client-friendly language (answering questions like “why are my rates low for September?”).
  • Strong technical and scrappy mindset: building their own automations, scraping data, or creating dashboards to go beyond what the software provides.
  • Open to candidates with transferable skills, preferably from industries with fast-changing, perishable pricing models such as airlines, concerts/events ticketing, or other similar industries.
  • Strong background in pricing and revenue analysis, with the ability to adapt a dynamic pricing mindset to the short-term rental (STR) space.
  • Experience beyond traditional pricing, including developing proprietary tools, automations, and data solutions (Python, SQL, etc.).
  • Ability to create dashboards, custom reporting, and case studies that translate data into clear, compelling insights.
  • Skilled at dissecting and organizing data to support strategic decisions and performance optimization.
  • Cultural fit is essential: We are seeking a proactive, self-starting professional who takes initiative and drives improvements without waiting for direction.


Work Environment:

  • This is a full-time, remote, offshore position.
  • You will be working closely with the founder, contributing directly to the company's core operations.
